Microsoft Windows 95 now provides support for IrDA, the Infrared Data Association standard for wireless connectivity. IrDA support enables Windows 95 users to easily connect to peripheral devices or other Windows 95–based PCs without using connecting cables. This driver set provides your Infrared-equipped laptop or desktop computer with the capability of networking, transferring files, and printing wirelessly with other IrDA-compatible Infrared devices. IrDA connectivity is designed to take advantage of the mobile computing features already built into Windows 95. This driver includes a new feautre called "IrLan Access Point Mode" which enables a computer with an IrDA adapter to attach to a local area network (LAN) through an access point device that acts as the network adapter for the computer.
