Umlaut Assistant integrates seamlessly with any word processing application. It provides a non-obtrusive and flexibly configurable German characters add-on toolbar.

You simply click on the desired character to copy it to the Clipboard, and use the AutoPaste function to paste it automatically at the cursor of your active word processor, e-mail client, or any text-input-capable utility.

The program runs as a convenient icon in the System Tray area of the Windows taskbar.
