Overview
What is SoundHits?
is a Windows "accessibility"-type utility designed to play sounds and/or draw glyphs in response to certain keyboard and mouse events.
In depth
A closer look at SoundHits
If you wish your keyboard made more sound when you type (like an old typewriter, for instance), SoundHits can make it happen. It can also draw a picture (such as an "X") on the screen when you click a mouse button. SoundHits uses a profile to map mouse and keyboard events to sounds and glyphs. It comes with a default profile that contains predefined sounds and a "mouse button down" glyph, but you can experiment with your own sounds, glyphs, and profiles. The program is easy to use, highly configurable, and consumes few system resources. It runs as a convenient icon in the System Tray area of the Windows taskbar.
