extends the usability of the Microsoft Intellimouse.Most applications don't support the Intellimouse's advanced functions. SmartWheel allows the wheel and other features of the mouse to work with most applications. SmartWheel adds both wheel-scrolling (rotate the wheel to scroll up and down) and pan-scrolling (click on the wheel and then move the mouse around to "pan" around the document). With SmartWheel, pan-scrolling is also available to users of normal 3-button mice, utilizing the middle button in place of the Intellimouse wheel.
