Zoom Tool allows you to zoom in to whatever you have on your monitor. If you are anything like me, I like to have my monitor at its highest resolution. Sometimes I can not make out the details of some 8 point text. Zoom Tool has a Desktop Mode where the viewport is updated with whatever is underneath the mouse pointer. While in Desktop mode, the viewport location can be locked or frozen. The Image mode allows you to zoom into opened graphics files as well as any pasted images.
