Overview

What is Envy?

is a batch file enhancement utility which provides you with 38 additional subcommands.

In depth

A closer look at Envy

Envy works with Windows 9x batch files, as well as under Windows NT and 2000 if "Command.com" is used as the batch processor.

It includes commands for spanning strings, bitwise operations, file comparisons, date and time functions, random numbers, file input and output, and text parsing.

The program lets you alter environment variables in the parent "Command.com" environment, simplifying many programming tasks which must be accomplished via a batch file.

Envy is well-suited to address frequent problems, such as the need to create a file name or directory name from the current date, as well as handle the "<" and ">" character processing inside a batch file.
