In the beginning of the game, you can choose one of the eight available characters. Each character has his/her own strengths and weaknesses (speed, car handling, etc.), as well as unique weapons. One has a homing missile, another a machine gun, and still others have oil slicks, glue globs, land mines, smoke clouds and even boosters which hurtle you down the track at an outrageous speed. There are 24 different tracks available in the game.
