is a utility for automating a wide variety of tasks using scheduled unattended batch processes.
Action Process Automator is similar to a scheduling utility in that it lets you schedule applications to run at specific times. But it also lets you test for various conditions before performing actions, and it offers a variety of custom actions that can be performed.
Actions can be scheduled to run only if a certain folder exists (or does not exist), if a certain application is running, or if a certain file is less than or greater than a given file size.
There are quite a few "actions" that can be scheduled. These include: running an application, terminating an application, running a macro (that can include recorded keystrokes and mouse actions), copying a file, moving a file, deleting a file, renaming a file, printing a file, connecting to or disconnecting from network servers, sending e-mails, executing VBScript scripts, exiting Windows, re-starting Windows, or zipping or unzipping files.
