This collection includes numerous filters and other text processing commands, as well as file and text search utilities.

The featured filters include: Basename (gets the basename from any file name); Decho (echoes any standard input to screen); Dict (puts each word found in a file into a separate line); Lcase (converts all uppercase characters to lowercase); Numbey (numbers all the lines in a file); Onespace (removes extra blank lines from a file); Pad (pads each line in a file to a fixed length); and Strip (lets you generate a comments file from a C source code).

"Sub" can replace one string with another throughout a file; "Sum" adds columns of numbers from a redirected file; "Trim" trims trailing blanks from each line in a file; "Truncate" truncates any line with a first matching character; "Ucase" converts all lowercase characters to uppercase; "Uniq" deletes multiple occurrences from a sorted list; "Untab" expands all tabs in a file to blanks; "Unws" translates a WordStar document to plain text; and "Xtodos" can translate Apple or Unix text to DOS format.

"Bingrep" is a grep (text search utility) for binary files; "Ffeed" can read a "filespec" and send files to standard output; "Grabasc" is a TSR ASCII text screen capture utility; "Hexval" creates character arrays from binary files; "Idiff" compares two text files and reports any differences; and "Igrep" is a grep for text files.

"Longtext" can remove any wordwrapping from text files; "Mloc" can count lines in text files and report the totals; "Modeget" gets the video mode; "Modeset" sets the video mode; "Newfiles" lets you create a list of files modified after a specific date; and "Pipecon" can pipe the console to a disk file.

Finally, "Touch" enables you to modify file dates and times; "Txt2Pcx" can convert any ASCII text to a monochrome PCX image; "Unfeed" can convert a merged file created by Ffeed into single files; "Whereis" searches your hard disk for specific files; "Which" searches the environment for a specified file; "Wraptext" adds wordwrap capability to text files; and "Yesno" is a batch file extension to allow yes and no questions.
