Zip Office handles ZIP files, as well as popular archive formats such as CAB, RAR, LHA, ARC, ARJ, ZOO, BH, GZIP, and UUE. It comes with all of the functions you would expect to find in an archive manager, including the ability to create and open archives, and the ability to add, extract, delete, display, print, and view files contained in the archives.

It can automatically update an archive when any enclosed file is changed, and it has facilities for organizing your archive files into categories called virtual folders. For files downloaded from the Internet, Zip Office keeps track of the URL from which they were downloaded.

Other features include: shell context menu (right-click) support, a task scheduler which automatically updates ZIP files, the ability to easily convert archives between different formats, a wizard that helps beginners work with archives, a "checkout" function that installs files from an archive and creates a program group or subgroup, and a callable API for programmers.
