is an e-mail-based fax server which can use Lotus Notes, Microsoft Outlook, or any POP3/SMTP client as the fax client.
To send a fax, you can either send it directly from your e-mail client, print it from your word processor to the FAXmaker printer driver, or use the FAXmaker client as your e-mail client.
You can attach any Microsoft Office document to your message. The document is automatically converted to fax format, and can also be faxed using the "Send" command which is available in Microsoft Office and many other applications.
The program enables you to edit incoming faxes, view and print transmission reports, use Word macros, perform fax broadcasting via the Microsoft Office mail merge function, and automatically route incoming faxes to user mailboxes.
FAXmaker also allows you to access and configure the fax server remotely, monitor all phone call costs and distribute them to specific users or departments, archive all faxes, and search for a specific fax using keywords with the optional OCR module.
Please note that while the five-user version is free, the other versions are not.
