Rain uses advanced instructions found in Intel, Cyrix, AMD and IDT CPUs that makes them run much cooler, without any loss in stability. This can prolong the life of your CPU, and prevent your system from overheating.
Rain works by sending HLT commands that place certain parts of the CPU into suspend mode.
Rain is similar to the program Waterfall, by the same author.
