An easy-to-use geneological program. The default view shows four generations surrounding the selected person, including children, parents, and grandparents. You'll be able to enter up to 15,000 records in a family tree, with up to 20 partners and 34 offspring per individual. Although it has fewer printing and report options than some of its higher-priced competitors, Genius Family Tree will let you input birth and linkage data for your ancestors and offspring, help you to organize their relationships, and print out pedigree charts and descendant lists for any individual on your charts.
Genius Family Tree handles genealogical-research-standard GEDCOM (GED) file import and export, making it easy to exchange files and data with others using GEDCOM-compatible products. It features a handsome onscreen display of family links, any one of which can be expanded to additional information with a couple of mouse clicks. It's ideal for the beginning genealogical researcher.
