This application is for mac computers that is compatible with any ipod including ipod touch and iphone models. It enables you to extract the songs and playlists of these devices to your hard drive. There are two different recovery modes one is automatic and will transfer all the files in the device the other is manual and asks you to select the files you want to copy. Ppipodrip transfers your songs and metadata to itunes. Just be sure that you push command (apple) alt when you connect your ipod so that itunes doesn't automatically synchronize its library with the device, since that could cause you to lose the songs on the device.
