is a graphical user interface (GUI) builder used to build GUIs in Java using Java Foundation Class components and Swing.
jForge Ultra is a Sun certified pure Java GUI builder. Its WYSIWYG interface allows for speedy Java Bean and GUI form development using the standard AWT and JFC (Swing) components. jForge Ultra can use any standard or third-party beans, components, and layout managers and can be tailored to use specialized beans through its Extended BeanInfo interface. In addition, jForge Ultra writes pure Java source code and reads compiled classes. This combination allows jForge Ultra to do away with proprietary file formats, serialized representations, extra GUI description files, or special components that tie you to the GUI builder.
jForge Ultra comes with a range of features that assist in designing and prototyping, including a free-form "Work Bench" that allows clear and accurate component placement; a "Grid" display and "Grid-Snap" facility; copy, paste, and delete functions; component editing via standard property sheets; and a "Component Hierarchy Tree" display. An application programmer interface (API) provides everything from bean convenience routines to hooks into various sections of the jForge application.
jForge Ultra runs on any Java-enabled platform, including Linux, Solaris, Macintosh, and Windows.
