is an implementation of Sun Microsystems' Java Message Service API (Application Program Interface) Specification.
OpenJMS supports both persistent and non-persistent services, implements both the point-to-point and publish-subscribe parts of the specification, and can run in standalone or embedded mode.
It includes several examples, including a foreign-exchange application, as well as extended RDBMS (Relational DataBase Management System) support (MySQL, Oracle, PostgresSQL, and Sybase).
The program also includes support for topic hierarchies, client-server flow control, and a queue browser, and can facilitate the deployment of JMS clients within applets.
