A "visual map" is a hierarchical two-dimensional graphical representation that is similar to idea maps, brain maps or Mind Maps (tm). VisiMap can be used for visual organization, brainstorming, problem-solving, document outlining and management, meeting facilitation, planning, personal organization, and many other day-to-day tasks.

It features automatic map layout and drawing, the ability to attach and edit sizeable notes to branches of your maps in a split-screen mode, text outline view, versatile viewing and outlining functions that let you view a map in different ways and with different levels of detail, style sheets and a color palette that let you control the use of colour and fonts, graphical and textual printing capabilities, exporting and importing of maps to/from other applications, file linking, and more.
