VIMAS Speech codec 8000 is a DLL for coding and decoding of digitized speech signals with a sampling frequency of 8000Hz, and 16-bit per sample. The output bitrate is 8000 bits per second. The algorithmic delay is less than 60ms. The frame length is 120 samples.
The VIMAS speech codec 8000 is based on the Algebraic Code Exited Linear Prediction (ACELP) and has embedded a Voice Activity Detector (VAD).
The DLL contains four functions: initialization, deinitialization, encode, and decode.
