allows you to convert any standard two-dimensional topographical map into an interactive 3-D world.
Creating a terrain takes a regular window bitmap in 256 color format or 24-bit per pixel RGB format, painted with gray scales, and converts it into a 3D model. The 3D model is built according to the colors of the bitmap. The white parts of the bitmap become the higher parts of the world, and the darker parts of the bitmap become the lower parts of the world..
The application also makes it possible to combine satellite images with terrain that was created from gray scale maps.
