A closer look at libCON
The library supplies a high-level, easy-to-use API to the following resources: the screen as a 2D drawing surface (and a target for 3D rendering), the sound card, the keyboard, the mouse, and the joystick. It also provides interfaces for: 3D Rendering (including mesh, batch mesh, cameras, and lights), bitmap (which is an offscreen drawing surface for creating 2D graphics), and resource stream (to pack all the data in a single file, with optional compression). Other features include: support for multiple joysticks, and AVI file output.
The library uses only 16-bit display modes.
