In depth
A closer look at CD-ROM Emulator
CD-ROM Emulator is very helpful utility designed for creating and managing virtual CD drives and CD/DVD discs. These virtual CD drives are much more quick, reliable and convenient than physical ones. They work with hard disk performance, which is tens times faster than the best physical CD drives. They are silent, consume no power, don't take time for CD swapping and speeding-up.
Virtual CDs are just files on your hard disk - no possibility to loose, no dust, no scratches or rifts, no need to search for necessary CD title. CD-ROM Emulator can create up to 23 virtual CD-drives. Due to original emulation technology virtual devices are treated by every application and even operating system as usual physical CD-drive. With so many virtual CD-drives you can simultaneously work with several CD-based applications (e.g. encyclopedia, maps, games, dictionaries, translators etc.) and even listen to favorite music.
Virtual CDs you use in CD-ROM Emulator are actually just image files of real CDs and DVDs. With CD-ROM Emulator you can create these images in following ways:
1. Copy the contents of real CDs or DVDs, almost all formats are supported.
2. Build image of virtual CD from images of separate tracks (audio or data tracks)
3. Compose data CD from selected files and folders.
