A closer look at HearMe VoiceContact

Unlike most voice-over-Internet applications, HearMe VoiceContact does not require that your friends download or install anything. All they need is a standard Internet browser.

You can also send e-mail messages that include a "Call" button. Recipients can then find out whether or not you are available online when they read the message.

If you are available, they simply need to click the "Call" button to reach you on your computer.

It includes a contact list function that indicates which of your friends are currently online, enabling you to instantly contact them with a click of the mouse.

The program runs as a convenient icon in the System Tray area of the Windows taskbar.
