AOL Instant Messenger can also deliver personalized news and stock information to your desktop. You can share photos, pictures and sounds with friends.

Other features include: stock alerts, buddy alerts, e-mail alerts, and live talking (using a sound card, speakers, and a microphone).

This newest beta comes with "AIM Phone", letting you make PC-to-telephone connections with friends and family over the Internet. You can also easily store your buddies phone numbers.
