The program includes a server and a client. The server's features include: the ability to create, delete, and rename channels; change the name of the administrative user; and send global messages to all users.

The client's features include: the ability to connect to any computer via an IP address; view all users or only the users in your current channel; and join any channel currently available on the server.

In addition, users can change their aliases, and be alerted when any user leaves or enters a channel.
