In depth
A closer look at Magnifier
Magnifier is a small utility that you can use to capture your desktop. Then you can zoom in, move around take measures and check colors. When Magnifier startsup it takes a copy of the screen (a snapshot). You can use the mouse-wheel to zoom in or out. You can move around by dragging the screen or using the scrollbars. To select an area, click and hold down the right mouse button and drag. Pressing F1 will toggle a crosshair that you can use for support. When you click the update button the window will first minimize, then Magnifier take a new snapshot. On some systems, with animated window minimizing, the animation might not be quick enough to finis before the snapshot is taken and is visble on the shoot. You can correct this by increasing the "Snapshot delay" in the preferences (found in the File menu).
