Overview
Keep up with biomedical research literature.
In depth
Sente is able to search hundreds of data sources, including PubMed, Agricola, various Ovid databases (e.g., Books in Print, CAB Abstracts, Current Contents, Dissertation Abstracts, EMBASE, and PsychINFO, by subscription) and hundreds of libraries around the world.
Search results typically include abstracts, and they are easily explored and organized within Sente using filters, keywords and an iTunes-like browser interface.
Sente also updates the results of every search each day so that you can easily stay current with new results. This means that you will learn about important new papers as soon as they appear in any of the databases you search. And they will stay there until you find the time to review them, even if that happens at a time when you do not have an Internet connection.
(When searching libraries and some other data sources, Sente operates as a Z39.50 client. Users can access the retrieved MARC records, which makes Sente useful to librarians and other information science professionals.)
A fully-functional 30-day trial version of Sente is available from www.thirdstreetsoftware.com. When the trial period expires, the software will still perform new searches, but the results cannot be saved.
