PLASTICOM is a computer software for pre-operative plastic surgery communication between the patient and the surgeon. The patient knows what he wants and the surgeon knows what he can do. PLASTICOM is the missing link, as it provides visual, interactive information to both of them at the same time.
The plastic surgeon first takes digital photo(s) of the patient, preferably on a blank background, and imports them in PLASTICOM . Then, he creates a set of warp curves/shapes on the image. These warp curves, as they are deformed/moved/reshaped, will finally induce a corresponding deformation on the image. The process is accomplished interactively, enabling fast, iterative steps to the results.
