GarbagePickup was created to make an "index.html" file for the contents of a folder by way of drag-and-drop onto this application's icon. You may ask, "Why build such a pointless and stupid application?" Well, we assure you that this application is far from stupid (despite that fact that it is prefixed with the word "garbage"). This application has many uses. Here are a few of them described:

Print Window: Are you one who misses the "print window" feature in Finder from Mac OS 9? No need to worry! Since you can index the contents of a folder with GarbagePickup, you can take the HTML document that GarbagePickup created, and view it in Safari or any other web browser. From there, you can print a full listing of the files inside a folder.

Web Sharing / Web Server: Have you ever had a directory with a bunch of files inside? You might have desired to share the files without having to go through the trouble of sending links to each individual file, or creating a web page for the files. With GarbagePickup, it's easy! Simply drag the desired folder to-be-indexed onto the GarbagePickup icon, and tada! If you're using a remote web server, upload "index.html" along with the "GP_Icons" folder. If not, go right ahead, and send out your web sharing link. By the way, if you need to know your IP fast, consider using a piece of freeware from us, GarbageIP.
