A closer look at JPEG Optimizer
JPEG Optimizer is a JPEG compressing app that allows users to easily reduce full-sized images in JPEG format. The program can import pictures in various file formats except JPEG, like TGA, BMP and TIF. All imported photos are being displayed in two separate windows, one that carries the original sized photo, and a second that allows users to see the modifications in real time. Additionally, a third panel can be added to the two, if the user wishes to see how the image would look with extra compression. Besides the readily available windows containing real-time comparisons between the original and the modified photo, the top bar of the app is filled with easy-to-access extra options. The most important piece of the Options bar is a picture quality slider which the users can easily manipulate in order to change the image quality and size on the go.
