AntiWordService is a free filter service from DEVONtechnologies that enables any Cocoa application able to read plain text, for example TextEdit or DEVONthink Personal Edition, to open Microsoft Word documents. The actual conversion is done by the command line utility »ntiword« So, up to now, only plain text is preserved, no images and no formatting... though this may change in some future version on AntiWordService.
