Overview

What is TimeStat 1.3?

Clock/date menubar item.

In depth

A closer look at TimeStat 1.3

TimeStat is a small menubar app (yes, another one) that is meant to supplant the default time display from Apple. Why Apple chose not to allow date display up there is beyond me, but that was the main reason I wrote this. It's also got a menubar option to start iCal.

Features? Well, you can create your own display using standard strftime variables, and I present a little area where you can see what the appropriate settings are and what they mean. There's also a couple of default formats you can choose if you don't want to make a custom version.

This doesn't compete with the fancier ones, but if you like other things I've written and feel comfortable with using this, too, then by all means go ahead. I don't plan to expand the functionality as this was something I wrote for myself and am releasing "just in case" someone else wants it, too.
