Overview
Take advanced screenshots.
In depth
It features the ability to capture movies directly to ram, offering higher framerates than possible with other programs. Once you are done recording your movie, you can export to any video format that QuickTime supports, including MPEG-4.
By default, screenshots are automatically directed to the thumbnail viewer, where you can sort through the screenshots you've taken, and make modifications such as removing the mouse cursor, or adding a watermark. Screenshots can be saved to many formats, including JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIFF, and more.
The region selection tool is far more powerful than the one built into Mac OS X. Invoking region capture darkens the entire screen by 50%, then highlights your selection, so you can see exactly the picture you are going to get. The advanced mode allows you to create a selection rectangle by dragging the mouse. The arrow keys also work as nudge keys, and the coordinates of the selection are displayed in the sampler window. As a final added bonus, Copernicus can capture pictures of Classic applications, unlike the built in screenshot tool in OS X.
