lets anyone combine words, pictures, video, animation and sound to create interactive multimedia publications.
Illuminatus offers a wide variety of powerful authoring tools, a powerful editor, several tools for communicating with your user and linking to the Internet, and support for a large number of file formats.
The authoring tools include: custom text scrollbars, hypertext links, variable transparency and irregular shapes for objects (including video), support for graphical buttons (with fonts and colors), object layering, the ability to define multiple actions per object, tiled graphics, support for irregularly-shaped hotspot areas, a variety of frame effects, and much more.
The powerful editor offers multiple windows, on-screen text entry and formatting, flexible publication options, the ability to create HTML pages from your publications, automatic creation of setups for distribution, resizable publications, and much more.
For communicating with your end user, you can add a live view of a Web page and have your publication access Internet resources or link to Web sites. An "autonarrate" function automatically highlights text in synch with WAV narration. You can also fade background music in and out.
A wide variety of file formats are supported, including music (MID and WAV), animation/video (AVI, FLC, FLI, GIF, MPG, and MOV), image (BMP, CGM, CDR, EMF, GIF, JPG, PCD, PCX, PNG, TGA, TIF, WMF, and PhotoCD) and text (TXT, RTF, and DOC).
