You can also generate a gallery from a set of pictures files not present in iPhoto.
For each selected picture you will get a separate HTML page that enables to navigate to next and previous page.
An index page, called "Index.html" is created and shows all the pictures as icons. You do not need to know the HTML language to use Galerie.
