Sid Meier's Antietam is the follow-up to Sid Meier's Gettysburg, one of the most successful Civil War computer games ever. Using a real-time tactical battle system, replay over 20 scenarios with historical and speculative variants including full and half-day battles. The units, troop positions and battlefield topography follow exhaustive research by meticulous Civil War historians.

You can play special units rendered in historically detailed uniforms, including Union and Confederate, Zouaves, Sharpshooters, Texas Brigade, Iron Brigade, Louisiana Tigers and Ragged Confederates. Nicknames are historically accurate for almost every regiment and battery in the battle. New terrain types force you to adapt to standing corn, stubble fields, plowed fields, bridges, fords, sunken roads and embankments. A random scenario generator can create 4 types of engagements for you, including small skirmishes, minor altercations, moderate engagement and large battle.
