Overview
What is Telephone Spy?
Telephone Spy is a powerful, yet easy-to-use software that makes use of your modem to record telephone conversations.
In depth
A closer look at Telephone Spy
Before recording a call, Telephone Spy can play an optional legal disclaimer (this feature can be very useful when the program is used in the business environment).
The calls are stored to your hard drive as regular Windows sound files. A memo is added to each file to let you easily distinguish one call from another. The software is Caller ID compatible, so the memos include all details (such as the caller's number and name) obtained via the Caller ID mechanism.
The number of recorded calls is limited by your hard drive capacity only (you can save the conversations as WAV files for better quality or compress them to MP3 to save space). The program can load at each system startup and automatically record all telephone conversations.
It can even send the recorded conversations to a specified e-mail address. Telephone Spy can work with your modem directly or via the Windows Telephone API.
Additional features of the program include the ability to play the on-hold music and a comprehensive guide on legal aspects of recording telephone conversations detailing the safe recording practices in various countries and different states of the USA.
