Exercises include melody, growing melody, intervals, triads, 7th, 9th, 11th, and 13th chords, interval identification, chord identification, inversion identification, and more.
Examples are played on the Macintosh 4-voice synthesizer or a MIDI instrument. Users can answer using the on-screen Piano and Guitar windows or a MIDI instrument.
The difficulty level can be changed by altering a variety of parameters. A notation window displays answers to melodic and harmonic material. The manual includes a glossary and an appendix of musical examples.
