A closer look at Web Photos
Web Photos is a Mac OS X native program for the rapid creation of photo albums (or picture libraries) for viewing on the web or CDs. The albums can be viewed with a standard web browser. The album consists of a front page that contains all the pictures of the album displayed as thumbnails. When one of the thumbnails is clicked you are taken to a larger version of the picture from which you can navigate through the rest of the album using 'forward' and 'back' links. Features: works well with iPhotos (export the pictures to a folder and use Web Photos to create the web album); written in Cocoa and therefore Mac OS X native; create thumbnails with links to 'full-size' pictures; Individually, or batch, edit the size of thumbnails; individually, or batch, edit the size of the main (full-size) picture; add start and finish text for the thumbnail page; add captions for each picture to be viewed on the thumbnail and main pages; automatically generate a full site containing links and pictures that can be easily uploaded to a web-site or burnt to a CD; spell checking for captions.
