Sydney 2000 is a graphical showcase bringing every aspect of the Olympic Games to game players around the world. No detail has been spared to produce the most realistic and complete sporting game ever, while still retaining a great feeling of fun and frantic multiplayer competition. The chosen events are a combination of classic and showcase events. They cater to expectations in providing old style track and field events, and also introducing newer showcase events that push 3D technology to the limit.
Sydney 2000 presents a dynamic gaming experience with a progressive learning curve in the simpler events such as the 100 meters sprint to the more involved events such as kayaking. There are 12 events to conquer in 6 Olympic environments with 32 countries represented. You can play in various modes such as Olympic, Arcade, Coaching, and Head To Head. Advanced motion capture technology gathered data from actual Olympic athletes to create realistic competitors possible. Every location in the game is architecturally correct, based on the actual design blueprints. The actual Olympic TV commentators of each country also provide commentary. This may be the closest you'll ever get to the gold medal.
