Overview
is an integrated development environment for Microsoft SQL.
In depth
With SQLing, you can compare database structures (indexes, relations, names, data types, defaults and order of table’s attributes), stored procedures, triggers, defaults, rules and views. You can also compare data in tables and permissions on database objects.
SQLing allows you to change database structure in a downsized form. The function "Downsize" creates a working copy of the structured database, in which analysts can implement changes to the structure. Developers can meanwhile work with the original version of database containing unchanged data. The analyst can then use the function "Upsize" to make changes to the original database.
With SQLing, you can compare databases and create a script that after executing, changes the target database to the same structure as that of the original database.
SQLing also contains a feature to transfer data, database objects (tables, triggers, views, defaults, stored procedures, indexes) and their access rights between two databases. This process can be implemented in real time or in the form of scripts.
Verdict
SQLing runs on Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000/Windows 10/11 and is available under the Demo license — the installer is 2 MB. We’ve catalogued it under Databases.
