In depth
A closer look at Video DB
Video Database contains practically every mainstream movie released on video. You can use it to search for movies starring particular actors or actresses, directed by a specific director, or those made within a certain range of years. You can also limit your view to specific MPAA ratings. You can, in effect, say to Video Database 'Show me all the movies filmed between 1991 and 2000 that were rated G'; or 'Show me all the movies in which James Stewart played and that were directed by Alfred Hitchcock.' Or you might want a listing of all movies in which Tom Hanks played; or movies directed by Ron Howard;or movies in which Ron Howard acted; or movies in which Ron Howard both acted and directed. Or...it's up to you and your preferences (Meryl Streep? Robert De Niro? Sally Field? Gary Sinise? John Sayles?)…the results display in a grid. You are also able to rate movies (1 to 5 stars) and write a synopsis or review.Updated 12/31/2002Updated 4/1/2002Updated 7/2/2002Updated 10/1/2003Updated 12/31/2003
