Hexen II lets you choose to play one of four characters: the Necromancer, master of blackest magic; the Assassin, taker of lives; the Crusader, a man of magic and skill; and the Paladin, with the power of his ancient gods. Each character class has its own set of different spells, different attack rates, and special abilities that are gained and improved throughout the game using an experience system.
As you clinch your bootstraps and ready your weapons, you can only hope and wonder what lies in the depths of the recently besieged castle that stands before you. All of humanity rests on the edge of your blade.
Hexen II uses an enhanced version of the groundbreaking Quake engine.
Demo Multiplayer Note: This Hexen II demo (v1.11) will allow you to play multiplayer games on full, retail servers. Note that if you log into a server that is running a level map not included in the demo, you will not be able to load the map even though you will remain logged into the remote server. This demo will sit idle in this circumstance. This is normal. If this occurs, you can wait for the server to load a level included in the demo, or you can exit the multiplayer game.
