What is AppLock?
OCX to allow software trial distribution
In depth
A closer look at AppLock
Applock is an ActiveX OCX control designed to allow shareware developers to distribute their software with a trial period. After the trial period has expired the user must purchase a license to be able to continue using the software. It can also be used with MS Access databases etc.How do you use it?Basically, all you have to do is include the OCX control in your program. Once you have installed Applock on your system you install it in your toolbox in the usual way (Ctrl/T and select Applock) and then position the control on a form within your project. Usually this would be the form where you control licensing information, so let’s call that form “license”. When you install the control it will be given a name of “Applock1”.Various methods and properties are provided to enable you to control the trial operation and the licensing process.
