is a fantasy adventure with role-playing elements, set in a shadowy castle and dungeon.
Cendric's Quest is the exciting prequel to SerpentHead. Years ago, the Royal Mage Cendric journeyed to the ancient fortress of IronGate to reassemble the lost SerpentScepter. Guide Cendric through IronGate's dungeons and tower rooms; help him confront its denizens and uncover its secrets! Rely on your wits and Cendric's magic to uncover the three parts of the SerpentScepter—the weapon you will later need to destroy evil in SerpentHead.
Cendric's Quest '99 features high-quality graphics, a digitized original musical score, digital sound effects, and intriguing puzzles. Most user interaction takes place through a convenient point-and-click interface. Your view is a first-person window on Castle IronGate. You see exactly what Cendric sees. Examine, take, or manipulate objects through any combination of the actions "Do" and "Look". The item window lets you see all the items you have discovered on your adventure that you are currently carrying and the spell selection menu allows you to cast the various magical spells Cendric learns on his journey. In addition, there are special screens for character dialog and action sequences, and some riddles may require you to type in short answers on the keyboard, if you can figure them out!
