The approach uses standard musical terminology for note names and durations. This program is based on Midi Piano Player, but the output created (i.e. the .mid file) is more fully compatible with most music software for purposes of playing, editing, and printing out in standard notation. Therefore, this program can be either used as a standalone, or as a front-end to other music software.
