SKTimeStamp : A handy shell extension for Windows Explorer that allows you to view and modify the timestamp of any file stored on your computer
The Windows operating system does reveal the timestamp of a file in the Properties window, in the General tab, to be more exact. Here, you can see the date and the time the file was created, last modified and last accessed. However, to modify these dates for whatever reason requires a dedicated application. SKTimeStamp is cut out for this job, adding a new tab in the Properties window to show you the same timestamp information as specified above, but adding the possibility to make modifications.
Quick installation, no restart
The application is deployed practically in seconds, requiring a few "Next" buttons to be pressed during setup. Even if it tampers with the files' properties, it does not require you to reboot your PC. To put it another way, you don't have to restart the computer to see the new tab of the Properties window.
A new tab in the Properties window for the file timestamp
The Properties window can be accessed by right-clicking on any file on the computer and choosing the dedicated option. This window comes with several tabs to display details regarding the selected file, including its type, description, location, size, attributes, compatibility issues, security-related infotmation and access permissions, the product version, and more.SKTimeStamp adds a new tab to show you the full file path, alongside the time and the date the file was created, last modified, or last accessed. All the fields are editable, meaning you can easily change the dates and the times. For your convenience, a simple "Touch" button sets the last modified time to the current time, with a single click.
A shell extension to allow quick timestamp modifications
SKTimeStamp is a shell extension to tweak the Properties window and allow you to modify the timestamp of a file in an instant. And since it only tampers with the Properties window, you won't have to deal with a new interface, menus, and options. Just install it, and you are good to go.
