Geared at experienced PC users, im4java is a free and open-source Java application designed as a graphical interface for ImageMagick and other command-line tools, such as jpegtran, UFRaw, dcraw, or ExifTool. It's not made as a replacement for JMagick, but can be considered an addition to it.ImageMagick is a software program used to create, modify and convert bitmap images, and it features support for a wide range of file types, including JPEG, JPEG-2000, PDF, SVG, PostScript, PNG, WebP, DPX and EXR. jpegtran is a lightweight library used for transcoding JPEGs, UFRaw lets you open and edit RAW images obtained from digital cameras, dcraw converts RAW photos to PPM and TIFF, while ExifTool is capable of reading, writing and editing EXIF information.im4java offers support for most features found in ImageMagick and gives you the possibility to use the same command-line for different types of images. For example, it's capable of resizing the width or height of images (or both). Arbitrary command-line programs are supported.The source distribution includes only the documentation source (in doc-src/xdocs), available in PDF and HTML format, along with several sample images to help you get started.
