The integrated file browser allows them to search for code files from within the main window of Edit++.The editor features line numbering and syntax highlighting, which are usually found in this type of apps. However, the list of pluses could be further extended to include code completion and more formatting options. Additional searching, bookmarking and filtering tools would also add to its value. The text editing options are quite basic and could also be enhanced.Auspicious utility that leaves room for improvementsEdit++ is a promising app, but there are missing features that more experienced programmers are looking for in a code editor.  Aside from the aforementioned enhancements, Edit++ could use integrated spell checking capabilities, line operations, and macro support. These are some of the pluses that would allow it to compete with the biggest players in this sector.
