For instance, KtoBlzCheck comes as a library which can either be used from a command line interface or custom programs in order to check account numbers and bank codes of German banks.The application can be used in a couple of ways, one of them being from a command line interface. First of all, the library needs to be compiled and installed, and it’s best to follow the provided documentation for Windows compiling and setup. This is better accomplished with the help of MinGW.On the other hand, one can rely on a Microsoft Visual Studio C++ compiler. Python prerequisites are provided as well, but the ctypes module is required here.The library already contains a database with various codes to be checked. The set of features allows pairs of account numbers and bank codes to be checked at once. It’s possible to check for KTO as well as BLZ, which are German abbreviations for account number and bank identification code respectively.Built-in scripts make it possible to check the online bank database for updated codes, and even download the latest items. An active Internet connection is required to properly grab related bank info.Note that using the library in a custom program requires ktoblzcheck.h to be included, and AccountNumberCheck and IbanCheck used.
