Error Scan and Fix is an application developed to increase computer speed by finding and fixing Windows registry problems.The program can search for the common registry issues, letting you choose which areas you wish to scan, including application paths, Windows fonts, shared programs files, startup programs, help files, browser helper objects, most recent used files and invalid shortcuts.The scanning process doesn’t take much time, but we noticed a pretty high CPU usage during our testing, so the computer may be stressed up a little bit.Once the job comes to an end, Error Scan and Fix shows the detected errors and lets you fix them all, again with the help of a process that’s performed blazing fast.A very good feature is the auto scanning mode that is more like a scheduling feature to perform scans at a user-defined time. This way, Error Scan and Fix can automatically check the system and repair any found issues without user interaction.One of the problems however concerns the design of the GUI. The main window cannot be resized and it’s almost impossible to analyze the found issues in such a tiny panel.A help section is included in the package as well, so it’s recommended to have a look in here too in case you need more information on a specific tool.All things considered, Error Scan and Fix is a helpful product, although it’s hard to imagine that experienced users can use this on a regular basis. There are plenty of similar apps on the market and many of them already do the same thing with many more configuration options.
